In his spare time, Russell tries to stay fit by continually chasing down his rambunctious 18-month old daughter, and to relax with brisk motorcycle rides.

Poster title: 3 Ways to Human-Centered Design Obesity
Cleveland Clinic has over 60 different services across Northeast Ohio aimed at helping people manage their weight, yet nearly 3/4 of its patient population has obesity or overweight. Its Strategy Office employed human-centered design to understand where the disconnects lied from the patient, provider, and system perspective, and to rethink how to best coordinate their services to create the most value. This poster examines 3 key HCD tactics used to solve system-wide problems at an enterprise level: Empathy for buy-in, Hacking experience maps, and Untangling complexity with play.
