Senior Vice President & Head of Digital Experience for Fidelity’s Health Care Group
Tom McCarthy is senior vice president and head of Digital Experience for Fidelity’s Health Care Group.  Fidelity Investments is a diversified financial services firm that makes financial expertise broadly accessible to people investing their life savings, businesses managing their employee benefits and advisors investing their clients’ money. Since 1946, Fidelity has been helping people live the lives they want through its customer-centered approach, innovative technology and investment solutions.
Mr. McCarthy joined Fidelity in 2003 and assumed his current position in June 2018. He reports directly to the head of the Fidelity Health Care Group, Maggie Serravalli.  In his current role, Mr. McCarthy is responsible for defining and driving a cohesive and integrated digital strategy for the overall Healthcare offering and ensuring alignment with our Workplace offerings and strategy. Prior to his current position, Mr. McCarthy served as senior vice president and head of Platform Technology for Fidelity Institutional, the business that offers a comprehensive clearing and custody platform, trading capabilities and business process and operations consulting to banks, broker-dealers, registered investment advisors, professional asset managers, strategic acquirers and retirement advisors and recordkeepers.
Before joining Fidelity, Mr. McCarthy was a founding employee and senior leader of GivingCapital where he led the sales, relationship management and product development groups.  Previously, Mr. McCarthy was a vice president at PaineWebber where he was responsible for the overall strategic direction and product management of the PaineWebber EDGE® and Open Financial Exchange (OFX) product lines.  He also held senior positions in product management and business analysis at Fiserv, where he developed reporting and transaction cash management software solutions for corporate banking clients.
Mr. McCarthy received his BS and MBA in Finance from Fordham University.
